6 vehicles involved in crash on Highway 101

While the following story is from a couple of weeks ago, it happened here in San Francisco, California and it serves as an important reminder about car crashes and what people need to do after they occur.

Two lanes were blocked on Highway 101 after at least six motor vehicles were involved in a crash in the early morning hours of Feb. 23. One of the vehicles overturned in the wreck. Few other details are known, even now, about the wreck.

Without any details it is difficult to ascertain exactly what happened in this particular wreck. Was someone intoxicated? Was someone distracted while driving? Did a mechanical failure in one of the vehicles contribute to the wreck? Were some other circumstances involved that we haven’t outlined here?

What is without question is that when an overturned vehicle is involved in an accident, there is a good chance that someone suffered some injuries. When a vehicle rolls over, the occupants of the vehicle are subjected to upper body and neck injuries that may not be as likely in other accidents. These are very serious accidents (and injuries), and the victims need to consider their legal options after such a crash.

This is where the investigation into the crash and the police report of your wreck will play a vital role. The police will assign blame (partially or wholly) in that wreck, and depending on what they say, it could help your legal claims, should you make any.
